How we work in executive search.

Boards and CEOs come to us when they need someone for the most senior seats in the business — the CEO succeeding a long-serving founder, the CFO walking a business into an IPO, the COO inheriting an integration after an acquisition, the CHRO building leadership capability for the next stage. Each of these is a moment that defines what the business becomes over the next five years.

Our work is research-led. The strongest leaders for these roles are typically not on the market — they are running something important, well, and quietly. Finding them, earning the credibility to have the conversation, and making the case for the move is what retained executive search uniquely does.

We take one mandate at a time per consultant. The cost of overcommitting on a search at this level is felt by the client and by every candidate we approach. Selectivity is the discipline.

Sector knowledge is where we differentiate. Our network in the industries we cover is built over decades, not months. When a client asks us to think about a search, the conversation begins from a position of knowing the market, not from a search of LinkedIn.

What is distinct here

Three things about how we do this.

The strongest candidates for senior roles are almost always embedded where they are. Finding them, earning their trust over years of contact, and making the right introduction at the right moment is the work that retained search uniquely does — and that no platform, database or contingent firm can replicate.

We are deliberately selective about mandates. The cost of saying yes to the wrong search is felt by the client (who gets a thinner shortlist) and by the candidates we approach (whose trust in us is finite).

Confidentiality is the default. The fact that a client is searching, the names being considered, and the conversations underway are kept inside the engagement. Our reputation is built on the things we do not say.
